Precautions for BRAF mutation hotspot test (first-visit)

Required sample volume
  1. 1) Please request a testfor at least 1 ml (3 ml recommended) of whole blood in an EDTA tube, and 10 ml (15 ml recommended) of urine.
  2. 2) Sterile technique must be used for tissue collection (advance inquiry required).

Notes
  1. 1) BRAF test can be requested only for canines.
  2. 2) As blood is used as the control for BRAF mutation, at least 1 ml is required. If a 3 ml sample is delivered, BRAF mutation test results in plasma willalso beprovided.
  3. 3) It is recommended that the test be performed within about 4 hours after sample collection, so please inquire at the laboratory in advance.
  4. 4) If the guardian collects urine, confirm that the sample has beencollected within 24 hours and deliver it immediately.
  5. 5) After receiving the sample, deliver it as soon as possible, and store the sample at 4 ℃until shipment.
  6. 6) It is mandatory to fill out the examination request form, so please provide detailed information to the guardian.
